Additium3D's success story involved the mixed manufacturing of 4 recycling containers for Eco Vidrio, in collaboration with Propelland. The project demanded durable and aesthetically appealing containers for a recycling campaign in a housing estate in Madrid. Additium3D proposed two options: fully additive manufacturing with FDM technology and ASA material, and mixed manufacturing combining 3D printing and folded steel sheet. The mixed option was chosen for its cost and time efficiency. Additium3D split the print into parts and used ABS and ASA for the joints, reinforcing the domes with glass fibre. Post-processing, painting and vinyl lettering were then applied to complete the containers, which are now in use in Boadilla del Monte, Madrid. The project demonstrates Additium3D's comprehensive product manufacturing and finishing capabilities, and its focus on recommending the most suitable option for the client, even if it means collaborating with third parties.
