Faqs 3D Printing Valencia
3D printing uses computer-aided design to create three-dimensional objects using a layering method. Sometimes referred to as additive manufacturing, 3D printing involves layering materials, such as plastics, composites or biomaterials, to create objects with different shapes, sizes, stiffness and colours.
It is a 3D printing process that uses a photosensitive resin that solidifies through exposure to ultraviolet light to create three-dimensional objects layer by layer. It is ideal for creating detailed and highly accurate models.
Requesting a 3D printing quote with Additium 3D is very easy. All you have to do is send us the 3D design of the part you need or explain your idea if you do not yet have a defined model. Our technical team will analyse the specifications - such as size, material and desired finish - and advise you on how to optimise the process. In a short time, you will receive a personalised, no-obligation quote, adapted to your company's needs. Contact us!
To produce your 3D printed parts we will need a three-dimensional model of your part, preferably in .stl format, although we accept almost any type of CAD modelling file, such as .step, .igs, .fbx, .sldrt and many more.
There are different ways to obtain a 3D model of your part. On the one hand, if it is a part of your own design that you have made in CAD software such as Autocad, Rhino, Solidworks, etc., it will be as simple as exporting the part in .stl format and entering it in our immediate order portal.
On the other hand, if you wish to recreate an existing object such as a sculpture, or a reduced scale model of any object, we will scan it in 3D.
In other cases, if what you want is the 3D printing of thematic figures, models of buildings, objects of common use, gadgets, games... there are repositories of 3D models, most of them free, where you will surely find your model file for 3D printing.
Some of these websites are:
One of the specialities of Additium 3D are the spare parts by reverse engineering, by which by means of 3D scanning and CAD modelling, we create the model of the part that has broken and then 3D print it.
3D printing encompasses many forms of technologies and materials, as the technology is being used in almost every conceivable industry. It spans a diverse set of sectors with a multitude of different applications.
Some examples:
Consumer products (footwear, design, furniture) Industrial products (manufacturing tools, prototypes, machine parts, functional end-use parts, etc.)
-Collectable figures
-Medical prostheses for disabled persons
-Architectural models and models.
-Reconstruction of bones or fossils
-Replicas of all kinds
-Reconstruction of forensic evidence
-Film material
Etc.
Filament 3D printing is a method where a plastic filament, such as PLA or ABS, is melted and deposited layer by layer to form a three-dimensional object. It is versatile and widely used in a variety of applications.
Some common problems in 3D printing include poor adhesion to the base, blockages in the extruder and uneven layers. These can be solved by adjusting the printing temperature, levelling the base correctly and cleaning the extruder regularly.
